Licensed surveyor

Licence for surveyors – key positions for sought-after specialists.

The duties encompassed by cadastral surveying are subject to public law. This especially applies to activities of independent licensed surveyors.

Holders of the federal licence for surveyors are authorised to carry out cadastral surveys throughout Switzerland and to use the title of licensed surveyor. The licence is a quality assurance instrument, guarantees professional surveying services and ensures professional management of cadastral surveying, independently of the structure and legal form of the involved surveying bureau.

Studying for a surveying licence is the ideal further education path following a surveying study course, and it opens up opportunities for young specialists to carry out demanding and attractive activities that are of great value to the Swiss economy.
