Cooperation & collaboration in the cadastral system
Cooperation and collaboration in the Swiss cadastral system are of great importance. A broad variety of institutions and organisations work successfully together and deal with a wide range of topics.
The success of the Swiss cadastral system is based, on the one hand, on the well-functioning and fruitful cooperation between the public sector – primarily the Confederation and the cantons – and the private sector and, on the other hand, on the close cooperation between the experts and the associations and universities.
At the international level, Swiss cadastral surveying specialists are much in demand and are involved in numerous committees and other organisations. In the areas of cadastral surveying and PLR-cadastre, Switzerland is playing a pioneering role in many respects.
Cantonal conferences
For example, the Conference of Cantonal Geoinformation and Cadastral Survey Directors ensures the coordinated representation of the interests of the cantons in the field of geodata towards the federal government.
