How is cadastral surveying organized?

Cadastral surveying is a combined effort for which both the work and the financing are shared between the three levels of government – confederation, cantons and municipalities. The surveying work itself is almost entirely carried out by private engineering and surveying offices.

Cadastral survey as a combined effort

Cadastral surveying is an excellent example of effective and mutually beneficial cooperation between government and the private sector over many years.
